Aaron Lee (Heart Transplant Recipient)
Aaron Lee (Heart Transplant Recipient)
Story
My name is Aaron, I'm 30 years old, a proud heart transplant recipient of 3 years and its been my dream to come over from Perth WA and ride in the 2024 110km 'Australian Unity Tour de Brisbane' Gran Fondo to raise funds for life-changing transplant research as a recipient, advocate for organ donation and an insight in to transplantation success.
Since transplant, I have been gifted by my donor with the opportunity to become a 2023 World Transplant Games Gold and dual Bronze medalist, 2024 AusCycling Road Nationals Para Transplant dual bronze medalist and 2023 AusCycling WA State Para Transplant Road champion.
Organ transplants save lives, but they also change lives in the most profound way. By riding for transplant researchers and recipients, I am doing my bit to help those impacted to live healthier for longer.
Donating to my ride helps researchers reach life-changing medical breakthroughs.
In particular, the funds raised will help to continue research into organ transplants and related conditions like heart disease, lung disease, and ICU care.
It costs just $48 to fund an hour of research with The Common Good. That means every dollar counts.
Can you help me reach my goal?
